I hesitate to make this post because I really, really don’t want to end up as a Substack algorithm advice guru. I’d much rather continue to write bad poetry and overshare my unwarranted opinions, as I have been. However, I’ve been on this platform for over two years now, and I’ve amassed around 5k followers (which is crazy!). In that time, I’ve made so many mistakes, and I’ve learned a lot through trial and error. It almost feels like a waste not to put all of that into one comprehensive post. All that being said, this will be the only time I write a “Substack advice post”. So, here it is: everything I know about growing a Substack.
